New leak suggests that AMD is about to release two new graphics cards

According to a recent leak, AMD may be preparing to release two new Navi 23 graphics cards. In a recent update, drivers for the RX 6600 and RX 6600XT were discovered, indicating that AMD is likely to release these two GPUs soon. The revelation comes from a leaker known as @KOMACHI ENSAKA on Twitter, who shared screenshots of AMD’s latest drivers, which included both of the new RX 6000-series cards.

It’s probable that these are the graphics cards AMD mentioned earlier this year at CES 2021, the Consumer Technology Association’s annual trade event. AMD announced at the time that a single-fan GPU would be released in the future. It now appears that the Radeon RX 6600 and RX 6600XT were the cards in trouble.

Although some information about the next cards has already been disclosed, we don’t yet have all of the details. The fact that each of these cards use a Navi 23 GPU contributes to this understanding. A 128-bit memory bus and 2,048 stream processors are included in the Navi 23. The GPU is 237mm2 in size and contains 11.06 billion transistors. It also has 10 teraflops (TFLOPs) and can run at up to 100 watts.

According to previous speculations, the AMD Radeon RX 6600XT graphics card will include 8GB of GDDR6 memory. If this is correct, the 6600 could have 4GB of VRAM. There’s a chance, though, that even the RX 6600 will come with the full 8GB. A 32MB AMD Infinity Cache is anticipated to be included in both variants.

The RX 6600 could have 28 compute units, whereas the RX 6600XT could have 32. A 7nm manufacturing node will be used on both cards. At this point, the majority of the other specifications are just speculation. According to rumors, the RX 6600 will have a 128-bit memory bus while the RX 6600XT will have a 192-bit memory bus, as well as a 16Gbps memory clock and 256GB/s bandwidth.

When it comes to gaming, these graphics cards are likely to be the first Navi 23 GPUs for AMD. The business already has Navi 23 cards on the market, but they’re only found in high-end workstations and mobile devices. Inside Tesla’s Model S vehicles, they can also be found. Elon Musk, Tesla’s CEO, claims that the system will be powerful enough to compete with Sony’s Playstation 5 consoles in terms of performance.

This, like any other leak, should be treated with caution, but it comes from a reliable source with a track record. Another leak recently indicated that Gigabyte is planning to deliver six custom GPUs from the RX 6600 XT family, indicating that the cards are nearing completion. Given that, as well as AMD’s hints, we’re expecting a release in the near future. All of the evidence points to a simultaneous launch within the next several months.
