There’s absolutely nothing more frustrating than using a slow laptop. A laptop which takes forever to respond to a single command. And freezes like it wants to die when it receives multiple commands.
In this article, we’ll be discussing ‘laptop speed’. And with this in discussion, you know a bunch of reasons why your device is so slow.
Personally, I’ve experienced working with a slow laptop. A HP 240 G4 Notebook, I tried to use this Laptop for editing of football videos for my YouTube channel. However, the experience was heartbreaking as working with Adobe After Effects and Sony Vegas Pro was a big problem.
The RAM was 4GB. Yes that’s not so good for a video editing laptop. But there are other reasons behind the slow laptop. Let’s find them out.
Why you have a slow PC
Your OS has to manage the resources of your Laptop (memory, drive space, processing power) between all running programs on it. There are a whole lot of things that may be affecting your device’s performance, but they usually boil down to your Laptop’s resources being used inefficiently.
These are some of the things that can give you a slow laptop
You ran out of RAM (Random Access Memory)
You ran out of disk drive space (HDD or SSD)
You’ve got Old or fragmented hard drive
You’re running Too many background programs
Too many startup programs
Falling behind on Windows or driver updates
Malware or viruses
Special effects and visual features
Hope this helps.
